CLAY TWP., Ohio —

A crash Monday night by a young male driver that ended up with a vehicle off the roadway was blamed on inexperience, police said.

The driver did not require a trip to a hospital after he was able to get himself out of the crashed car on Westbrook Road, west of Diamond Mill Road. The car ended up on its side, resting against a utility pole.

Clay Twp. police and fire/rescue crews were dispatched to the area just after 8 p.m. on a report of a vehicle reported on its top.

The boy’s mom came to the scene to take him home, police said.
