KETTERING, Ohio —
A 78-year-old Kettering man reported missing since Friday afternoon has been located.
Medics took Doai Pham to Miami Valley Hospital on Friday night for an undisclosed medical condition after Dayton police pulled his vehicle over at Wayne Avenue and Smithville Road.
Lt. Wendy Stiver said officers pulled Pham over because he was driving on a flat tire. They then discovered that his tan 2001 Toyota Camry had moderate damage from an apparent collision.
Pham, who Kettering police said is on daily medication and suffers from dementia, initially told police he had hit someone, prompting a search of the area. He later was unable to recall what happened to the car.
Neither Kettering nor Dayton police had any reports of persons or vehicles hit in the area.
Pham was reported missing earlier in the evening by his family, who said he left his home for unknown reasons at 12:30 p.m. Friday.
Kettering police are continuing to investigating the incident.
