DAYTON —

A man was arrested after pulling a gun and making threatening statements toward another individual while at a football camp Tuesday evening in Mallory Park.

Police were sent to the park on Germantown Street at about 8:30 p.m. after a caller said a man "was waving a gun around," according to police. A black revolver was found at the scene, where a football camp for kids was being held.

Witnesses directed officers to 43-year-old Tony T. Brown, who was arrested on weapons violations.

In a statement to police, one witness said the suspect "pulled out a gun on one of the parents of the football team and threatened to shoot him and he pointed it at another gentleman and said he would kill him so we had to get the camp kids out of here."

The witness said there were about 120 kids at the camp.

Other witnesses said the dispute started between the suspect and a woman. Police noted that Brown has a robbery conviction from 2007.
