The incident occurred around 8:25 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of West Grand Avenue.
The 29-year-old victim reported that the suspect broke in to her home and hit her several times on the head and face and possibly broke her wrist because he thought another man was with her, according to police records.
While the victim was being treated at Grandview Hospital, officers spotted the suspect, Damon Flippin, in the area of Santa Clara and Victor avenues, according to records.
Police said officers chased and ultimately arrested the suspect on suspicion of aggravated burglary and drug possession.
