Police: Man receives $1M in treatment under false identity

By Breaking News Staff

DAYTON —

Authorities say a man who received more than $1 million in medical services and treatment from Miami Valley Hospital did so under another identity.

He was also found to have an active felony warrant out of Summit County for grand theft, according to a Dayton police report obtained Saturday. An arrest was not noted on the report, but hospital police stated the man “will not be going anywhere” due to the extensive medical treatment he received and the recovery time involved.

Miami Valley Hospital opened an investigation after receiving a complaint from the patient financial services office. News Center 7 contacted MVH police but was told no one was immediately available to comment.
