DAYTON, Ohio —

A 64-year-old man was robbed after picking up two women he did not know early Tuesday morning, police said.

The women were sitting outside an appliance store on Troy Street in Dayton when the man asked them to "hang out," according to a police report.

After driving around town with the women, they began to ask him for money, police said. He was eventually in a battle with the women over the $20 in his wallet.

The woman, who were unknown to the victim, stole the man's wallet and jumped out of the full-sized white Chevrolet van, according to the report.

The man told police that he thought his wooden cane was also stolen from his vehicle, according to the report.

After changing vehicles, the man drove around until he found a police officer to report the robbery.
