Man robbed of his sweatpants

DAYTON, Ohio —

A 40-year-old man told police early Monday morning two men jumped him and stole his cigarettes, tennis shoes and sweatpants.

No arrests have been made in connection with the robbery. According to a police incident report obtained Tuesday, officers around 5 a.m. were dispatched to the 600 block of West Grand Avenue to meet with the accuser. The man told police he was walking back from a BP Station on Salem Avenue when he said he was approached by two men with vague descriptions, but likely in their 20s.

One of the men was armed with a handgun, possibly a 9 mm, according to the man.

The man was eventually told to take his clothes off and to get on the ground. The man’s sweatpants, containing his cigarettes, were taken. The suspects jumped into a tan Oldsmobile Alero, according to the man.

The investigation is ongoing.
