Mexican held in Miami Co. Jail on $500k bond

A man from Tijuana, Mexico, is being held in the Miami County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

Jose Felix-Lara Valentine, 35, was arrested during the execution of a federal search warrant Monday night in Miami County. The warrant was issued at 7733 Tipp-Elizabeth Road.

FBI agents said they confiscated a kilogram of cocaine, a quantity of marijuana, a loaded handgun and a large sum of money.

Federal investigators said they also believe that Valentine is an illegal immigrant. Additional charges are expected to be filed, investigators said.
