By Steve.Baker@CMGOhio.com

MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio —

A high-speed pursuit in Miami County lasted less than 60 seconds when Deputy Roger Davidson lost sight of the red sports car he was chasing.

The pursuit started while the deputy was on a routine patrol in Bethel Township in Miami County early Sunday morning along U.S. Route 40 between state routes 201 and 202. Deputy Davidson clocked the car at 92 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Davidson lost sight of the vehicle right before it entered into Montogmery County at Vandalia, then terminated the short-lived chase.

A red sports car was later stopped in Montgomery County but was not the correct vehicle.
