Miamisburg railroad crossings upgrades approved

MIAMISBURG —

Flashing lights and roadway gates are among the federally funding upgrades planned at eight rail crossings in Miamisburg.

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio today approved contruction authorization. Norfolk Southern Railway will make the following upgrades:

Richard Street: Flashing lights and roadway gates

Kercher Street: Fiahing lights and roadway gates

East Pearl Street: Circuitry upgrade and modernization

East Maple Street: Circuitry upgrade and modernization

Central Avenue/Ohio 725: Circuitry upgrade and modernization

Linden Avenue: Circuitry upgrade and modernization

Lock Street: Flashing lights and roadway gates

Mound Avenue: Circuitry upgrade and modernization

The changes are expected to be finished in April 2014.
