A man on a motorcycle suffered serious head injuries Friday when he apparently lost control of his bike on Commons Boulevard and crashed, police said.

The man, whose name and age have not been released, was headed north on Commons when for unknown reason he crashed at the intersection of Park Overlook Drive, Beavercreek Sgt. Scott Spangler said.

The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, Spangler said. The man’s condition was not immediately known.

The intersection was closed about two hours for the investigation and cleanup of the scene.

Police are continuing their investigation of the accident, which occurred near the Regal Cinema at about 3:30 p.m.
