CELINA, Ohio —

The Celina Police Department is investigating two stolen vehicle reports that occurred over the weekend.  The first involved a green 1998 Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle that was stolen from the parking area at Main & Lakeshore.

The report was filed at 7:42 PM, but the motorcycle had been parked by the owner around 5:45PM.  The bike’s ignition was locked and the owner still had the keys in his possession.  The owner of the motorcycle is Michael J. Burbee, of Flint, Michigan.  He had stopped at the Lake Festival on his way home on Saturday afternoon.

The second report was filed on Saturday night at 11:27 PM.  Paul W. Sturwold III, 327 ½ E. Livingston St. reported that his tan 2002 Chevrolet Blazer had been taken from the 200 block of W. Warren Street between 8:15PM and 10:30 PM.  The keys had been left under the driver’s seat of the vehicle.  That truck was recovered early Monday morning at SR 219 and the Wabash River.

The SUV had been driven into the river from the east bank.  At the time of this news release, officers were still on the scene of the recovery, but there appeared to be minimal damage to the vehicle.

The Celina Police Department is continuing the investigation into both these incidents.
