A motorcyclist was transferred Sunday night to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton after suffering serious injuries in a crash Sunday night.

The cyclist was injured and taken to the Upper Valley Medical Center with severe injuries after falling off his bike Sunday afternoon. He was then later taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

Dispatch said the unidentified rider was unconscious after the crash which occurred in the 1300 block of Saratoga Drive at Yorktown Drive. There was word of a second motorcyclist that left the scene but they may not have been related.

Careflight was requested, but unable to fly due to weather conditions at the time.

The crash is under investigation to discover the cause.
