RANDOLPH CO., Ind. —

The victim who died in Tuesday morning's house fire in White River Twp. was a 41-year-old woman, the Randolph County, Ind., coroner's office said Friday afternoon.

Investigators are continuing in their efforts to determine the cause of the fire that left Candice Shaneyfelt dead.

According to the county sheriff's department, communications officers of the Randolph County 911 Center received a report of a house fire at 1543 South Old Highway 27, near Winchester, at about 3:15 a.m. 

Personnel from the Lynn Fire Department, the White River Fire Department, the Winchester Fire Department, Randolph County Emergency Medical Services, the sheriff's department and the State Fire Marshal's Office responded to the scene.   

One of two people in the home at the time the fire started escaped, although seriously injured.That person was taken by air ambulance to Saint Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, according to the sheriff's department.

Shaneyfelt was discovered deceased in the home.  No details were released about what caused her death.
