Parts of Beavercreek lose power after cable is cut

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio —

Utility crews are working to restore power to parts of Beavercreek.

Officials said crews cut an underground cable. The outage affected the area north of Dayton-Xenia Road to Factory Road and east to North Fairfield Road.

The high school lost power, along with homes and businesses that are in the area.

Utility crews said businesses near the substation will take the longest to get power back on.
