Staff Report

DAYTON, Ohio —

Police in Dayton said they are looking for a man who called in a robbery early Tuesday morning at a local pharmacy.

The robbery happened around 12:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Walgreen’s store at the intersection of Salem Avenue and Philadelphia Drive.

Officers said the robber called the pharmacy line and said there was a bomb in aisle 5 that would go off if he didn't receive all the ocycodone they had. The robber ordered the pharmacist to leave the pills in the drive-up window drawer.

They said the man walked up to the window, took the prescription, and left the scene. He got away with more than 500 pills, according to a police report. A K-9 was brought in, but it was unable to track the robber.

The pharmacist was shaken up by the incident, but was not injured.

The robbery remains under investigation.
