DAYTON —
Drug officers in Dayton served a search warrant at 117 Halloway St. Friday evening and recovered about half a pound of marijuana.
Police interviewed six individuals who were at the home when the warrant was served, including one man who slammed the door on police and attempted to run away. According to a Dayton Police incident report, no arrests have been made as of Wednesday.
According to the report, an undercover investigation revealed that individuals were selling drugs out of the house. Buyers would come to the side door which had bars in place of a storm door. People would make transactions through the slots in the door, the report states.
The reporting officer wrote that it was obvious from the lack of possessions in the home that, “this house was set up strictly to sell drugs out of.”
While searching the house, police found two bags full of marijuana and cash next just inside that door.
All the individuals at the house were issued nuisance abatement paperwork so that they cannot return to that address.
