Police investigate after Springfield man shot in face

SPRINGFIELD —

Police are investigating the shooting of a 44-year-old Springfield man at a business in the 1600-block of East Main Street early Sunday morning, according to a police report.

The victim drove himself to Springfield Regional Medical Center following the shooting. Authorities were alerted but the victim could not remember where or by whom he was shot during an interview.

Police discovered that the victim owned a local business and believe the incident happened at Labelz 4 Less at 1605 E. Main St.

The man was treated for gunshot wounds to the face and neck and transported to Miami Valley Hospital, according to police. A condition for the victim was not available at Miami Valley Hospital and police said they had no more information Monday afternoon.
