Police investigate Dayton carjacking

DAYTON, Ohio —

A 49-year-old woman told police on Sunday morning she was threatened at gunpoint before an unknown suspect drove away in her vehicle.

The carjacking occurred around 9 a.m. on the 2300 block of Edison Street in Dayton. According to a police report obtained Sunday, the woman said she was at a stop sign at the intersection of Edison and Walton Avenue with her windows down.

A suspect with a vague description approached her and struck her in the neck with a gun. She was then ordered out of the car, a 2005 Pontiac G6.

The man then took $10 and a cell phone from her. The woman said the man was last seen traveling east down Edison.
