Police looking for suspects who robbed pedestrian

Staff Report

TROTWOOD, Ohio —

Dayton and Trotwood police are looking for two suspects associated with a robbery involving a gun and a knife on Free Pike early Wednesday morning.

The victim told police that he was walking on the sidewalk in front of 4400 Free Pike when the two approached him and attacked him without warning.

A brief struggle ensued, according to the victim, in which one suspect pulled a black semi-automatic pistol resembling a Glock.

The victim said he was apparently cut with a knife as well as he sustained a minor cut to his hand. He didn't actually see the knife, he told police, and he refused medical treatment.

The suspects stole about $90 in cash from the victim, according to a police report. One suspect is described as a black male, 19 to 21 years old, short black hair and wearing a white T-shirt, black jacket and dark blue jeans. The other is described as a black male, 19 to 22 years of age, short black hair and wearing black jeans and a black coat.

They left in a vechicle, a two-door Chevrolet Caprice. The vehicle reportedly fled eastbound on Free Pike.
