Power back on for most in Clark County

CLARK COUNTY —

Alarms were going off and traffic signals were out this morning as some in the Clark County area lost power.

Scanner traffic indicated officers were being dispatched throughout the county after power appeared to be lost in several locations.

At 11 a.m., the Ohio Edison outage map was showing more than 1,900 without power in areas including Springfield, German Twp., Moorefield and Mad River Twp.

Power had also been lost at Upper Valley Mall.

At 11:15 a.m., power appeared to be restored to all but about 70, and those were in the German Twp. area.

Officials have not yet said what led to the outages.
