Power restored in northern Montgomery County

By Staff Report

HUBER HEIGHTS —

At about 11:50 Friday night, there were no reported outages in the Huber Heights area of northern Montgomery County along the border with Miami County, according to Dayton Power & Light.

"We're hoping to get everybody back before midnight," Kevin Hall, DP&L director of operations, said at about 9:30 p.m. "It looks like it's related to an underground cable."

About 100 customers lost power about 5 p.m. in an area north of Interstate 70, south of U.S. 40 and east of Ohio 202,  Hall said. That number was reduced to about 50 customers by about 9: 30 p.m.

A resident on Gardengate Drive told News Center 7 at about 8:20 p.m. that power at her home went out "right at 5 o'clock."
