Power in east Dayton back in service

DAYTON —

Power has been restored for the nearly 1,400 Dayton Power & Light customers who suffered through a power failure Monday afternoon.

Some areas of the east side of the city were without power at about 4 p.m. According to DP&L, those 1,384 customers were in the areas of Linden Avenue, Keowee and East Third streets.

As of 10:20 p.m., there were no outages reported in the DP&L service area. There was no word on what caused the power failure on the east side.
