TROY —

Law enforcement officials were at the Miami County Department of Job and Family Services Friday after someone threatened to use a firearm there.

A witness said a man yelling at an employee inside “threatened to shoot the place up,” and the building was on a brief lockdown shortly after noon while the incident is investigated.

Deputies said one person, Charles Davis of Troy,  was arrested after leaving the building. He has been booked into jail for two counts of aggravated menacing, intimidation and inducing panic.

The building is located at 2040 North County Road in Troy.
