Richmond, Ind. meal program changes hands

By Breaking News Staff

RICHMOND, Ind. —

Richmond’s Meals on Wheels program will continue serving clients in city limits after an agreement with the Reid Foundation was reached.

The program will transfer assets to the foundation, which through contract since August 2012 has provided meals for the program.

Meals on Wheels has about 50 clients in Richmond.

“With the Foundation and the FNS department both having the connections with the potential for people who need meals, this service could grow, and they can handle it well,” said John Kutter, past president and treasurer of the Meals on Wheels board and long-time program volunteer.
