MIAMISBURG, Ohio —

The suspect who police believe robbed an area United Dairy Farmers store Sunday night has been identified as a 24-year-old Troy man.

Corey B. Rodeffer is accused of robbing the UDF store, 1901 West Stroop Road, in Kettering, at 11 p.m. According to Kettering Police, Rodeffer entered the store, demanded cash and told the clerk he had a gun.  After taking the money, Rodeffer fled in a gold-color GMC truck.

At a Speedway store in the 3000 block of West Alex Bell Road, another robbery occurred at 1:45 a.m., said Kettering police.  A Moraine police officer saw the same gold colored truck fleeing from the Speedway store that fled from the first robbery.  Kettering police said a traffic stop was attempted but the suspect failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated by Moraine police.

According to Kettering police, Rodeffer fled on foot from his truck in Dayton, and was tracked by a Kettering police K-9.  Rodeffer was found hiding in a truck, inside the Dayton Waste Water Treatment Plant on 2800 Guthrie Road and was arrested.

Rodeffer is in the Kettering City Jail on robbery charges. Police recovered clothing and cash believed used in the robberies. Rodeffer has confessed to committing four robberies in the Dayton area, said Kettering police.  The case will be presented to the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office for formal charges.
