PREBLE COUNTY, Ohio —
Eastbound lanes on Interstate 70 near the village of Lewisburg reopened around noon Saturday after a semi jackknifed on the road about two hours earlier.
There were no injuries in connection with the crash. According to Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers, the semi was traveling eastbound when it drifted off the left side of the road and jackknifed after hitting the slush-covered berm.
Troopers had to shut down part of the highway while the cleaned up the wreckage.
Kenny Pierce, of the Lewisburg fire department, said emergency calls have thankfully been slow in spite of the weather.
"It's been a good winter," he said. "Everyone has slowed down and is paying attention."
