Staff Report
GERMANTOWN, Montgomery County —
A woman and a juvenile were injured in a crash that shut down part of Dayton Germantown Pike Monday afternoon.
Careflight responded around 3:20 p.m. to the crash at the intersection of Dayton Germantown and North Butter Street, where the occupants of a black Pontiac car were both injured.
Traffic on Ohio 4 was temporarily diverted onto Ohio 725 while emergency crews responded to the scene.
The female driver of the Pontiac was seriously injured and taken by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital, according to Germantown police Sgt. Matt Burns. The passenger, a male juvenile, was taken by life squad to Sycamore Hospital, Burns said.
Burns said the Pontiac was traveling on North Butter Street and struck a trailer with a black Mustang on top being hauled by a pickup. The Pontiac struck the trailer, breaking the trailer free of the truck and dislodging the black Mustang, Burns said.
The crash remains under investigation.
