Emotions ran high after an early Saturday morning shooting on James H. McGee Boulevard.

DAYTON, Ohio —

The victim involved in the fatal shooting at the Fox II bar early Saturday morning on James H. McGee Boulevard has been identified.

Police on Saturday afternoon said that Douglas Kelly, 30, was found face down inside the bar, according to Police Lt. Kenneth Beall. Officers believe Kelly was shot just outside the back door of the bar in the upper chest area. He came inside and collapsed.

Beall added that police are looking for a male suspect in connection with the shooting, whom he did not identify. He said there were roughly 100 people inside the bar at the time of the incident.

The bar, now called the Fox II, was known as the Silver Fox Lounge for decades, according to Beall. He said that authorities do not consider the establishment, located at 2217 N. James H. McGee Blvd., a "problem bar."

Beall said there “were probably four to five shots, possibly six shots fired.” He added that the weapon appeared to be a medium-calibre handgun.
