A Dayton family had multiple bullets fired into their Lakeview Avenue home Tuesday evening.

A woman who was lying down with her 5-year-old granddaughter in the home reported that someone came to the door at about 8:30 p.m. and asked if her boyfriend’s son was home.

She told police that she called for her boyfriend to come to the door and then went back to the bedroom.

According to a police report, that is when four shots were fired. Bullets came through the bedroom window, one lodging in the bedroom door. No one was hit by the gunfire.

One occupant of the house said he looked out the peephole and saw the subject who was at the door before the shots began. He described the suspect as a young black male, maybe 17 or 18 years old, chubby and about 6 feet tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
