DAYTON, Ohio —
Homicide detectives were called to the scene of a failed robbery that ended with one man stabbed in the chest Saturday afternoon.
Dayton police officers and medics were sent to the 2100 block of Catalpa Drive at about 3 p.m. to respond to a report of a stabbing. They found 23-year-old Dlquan Glover with multiple stab wounds to his chest, the Dayton Police Department said. He was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with life-threatening injuries, but police said the man is now in stable condition after undergoing emergency surgery. A hospital spokesperson said Glover was in fair condition Sunday afternoon.
Authorities are now working to locate a suspect in his 20s who Glover identified as his attacker, according to Police Sgt. Dan Mauch. The men have a history, according to Mauch.
According to Mauch, the suspect wanted in connection with the stabbing is 25-year-old Donovan Garrett.
"It certainly seems like they know each other and the suspect was invited in," he said.
