Stolen firearm recovered in Arcanum

ARCANUM, Ohio —

On Friday Jan. 6, 2012, at approximately 6 p.m., the Greenville Police Department executed a search warrant at 110 W. South Street in Arcanum.

The search warrant was the result of investigations conducted by the Greenville Police Department in which stolen firearms were recovered.

Also assisting in the execution of the search warrant were the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; the Darke County Special Response Team; the Arcanum Police Department; the Darke County Sheriff’s Office; and Darke County Juvenile Probation.

Michael J. Rowe, 61, of Arcanum, was arrested during the execution of the search warrant. He was charged with one count each of Possessing Weapons Under Disability and Receiving Stolen Property, both felonies, and was transported to the Darke County Jail.

This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
