Students facing charges for selling drugs

DAYTON, OHio —

Two Belmont High School students were arrested Friday and transported to the Juvenile Justice Center on West Second Street on the suspicion of felony-level drug offenses.

Police were called to the school around 9:30 a.m. Friday morning, according to a police report obtained Saturday. Several students had alerted a security officer that a student had tried to sell them pills. The student allegedly told them he had Oxycontin, Ecstasy and Vicodin.

The security officer searched the student and found a plastic baggie containing four capsules with a white powder inside, according to the report.

The same group of students also alleged that a second student was also in possession of drugs. One capsule was found on her, according to the report.

Felony drug trafficking and possession of drugs charges may result, according to the report.
