Suspect sought in St. Marys gas station robbery

ST. MARYS —

The St. Marys Police Department is investigating the robbery of a Shell gas station.

The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. Tuesday at the station at 1115 Celina Road. Police said a suspect approached the station’s clerk and said he had a weapon. The clerk gave the suspect an unknown amount of money.

The suspect fled in a newer model, four-door, maroon truck, the police report said.

The suspect was wearing a blue and gold hooded sweatshirt and gray shorts. He is described as being just under 6-feet tall, having a medium build and with facial hair.

There is a second male suspect who was inside the truck, but there is no description available.

Police said no one was injured. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
