JEFFERSON TWP., Montgomery County —

A vehicle crashed over a guardrail and came to rest on its top Thursday night in the 7000 block of Germantown Pike.

There was no immediate word about injuries, but there was a report that the driver was able to get out of the wreckage. That driver, a female, was taken to a hospital, according to Jefferson Twp. fire officials.

There was no word about the driver’s condition.

The vehicle appeared to be a small SUV, which was believed to have hit a tree after bouncing off the guardrail. The accident was reported at about 10:45 p.m.
