MIAMI VALLEY —

Multiple crashes were reported along Miami Valley highways Friday morning as rain is causing slick driving conditions.

Eastbound U.S. 35 at Research Boulevard was closed after a crash involving four vehicles. The crash was reported around 7:25 a.m., and injuries are reported.

Motorists were diverted onto Research Boulevard.

Traffic on northbound Interstate 675 between Indian Ripple and Wilmington Pike was also backed up after a vehicle crashed into the cable wires around 7 a.m. The vehicle reportedly suffered heavy damage and debris was across all three lanes of traffic, according to those on the scene.

Traffic was backed earlier on southbound Interstate 75 near Interstate 70 after a vehicle crashed and came to a stop on its side around 6:30 a.m. Traffic was backed up for about 45 minutes. The driver was not injured.

Earlier, crews responded to southbound 75 near First Street for a two-vehicle crash that occurred around 6:50 a.m. No one was injured.
