Troy Rotary kicks off 'Designated Driver' Campaign

By Steve Baker

TROY, Ohio —

For the tenth year members of the Troy Rotary Club kicked off their annual Designated Driver Campaign Tuesday.

Party goers wearing the DD buttons can usually drink soda and coffee free at area restaurants and bars during the up coming holidays.

The goal is a "holiday without any alcohol related traffic crashes," said Troy Rotarian Dr. Michael Pope, chairman of the campaign.

It is endorsed by area police, the Miami County Sheriff's Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
