WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE —

This December will be the last “film” festival at The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force Museum with actual film, according to the Air Force Museum Foundation, Inc.

The Holiday Film Festival at the Air Force Museum’s theater, Dec. 17-3, will showcase six IMAX films including “Air Racers”, “Fighter Pilot”, “HUBBLE”, “Mystery of the Nile”, “Magic of Flight” and “Coral Reef Adventure”.

The theater is leaving film behind with an $800,000 renovation and switch to digital format, making the theater 3-D capable. This is the first major renovation at the $7.5 million theater since it opened in 1991.

The work will close the theater beginning in January for two months.
