Vandals bust up store surveillance cameras

DAYTON —

The owner of Danner Supermarket opened his store Wednesday morning to find six of his surveillance cameras, mounted on the outside of his store, had been busted up by vandals.

Dayton police reported to 1233 Danner Ave. at about  noon after receiving the owner's complaints of criminal damaging done to his property, according to a police incident report.

Surveillance cameras showed two young, black males using a stick or a pole to break the cameras, according to the police report. The damage occurred at about midnight and again at about 1 a.m.

No witnesses saw the vandalism take place.
