DAYTON, Ohio —
A woman entered the Kwik N Kold, 1429 Linden Ave., around 10 p.m. Tuesday and demanded cash, according to police.
James Oakley, a store employee, had just finished his nightly stocking duties, when the woman entered wearing a scarf covering everything but her eyes. The woman acted like she had some sort of weapon.
"I don't know if she had that gun, or if it was just her finger, or what is was," said Oakley. Oakley was shaken up following the incident and said it wasn't the first time the location had been robbed recently.
Two months ago a co-worker of Oakley was also robbed while he was working at the same location.
Oakley said he doesn't believe the woman made off with anything from the store, but he credits the work of another customer in helping chase the suspect off.
"A customer actually helped me, he ran after her and she ran behind Save-A-Lot," Oakley added.
Police continue to investigate the attempted robbery and are still looking for the suspect.
