WSU issues boil advisory on campus

FAIRBORN, Ohio —

Wright State University has issued a campus wide water boil advisory Sunday morning.

The university’s text alert system notified students and faculty that the entire campus must boil water before it is safe for consumption.

27 of WSU’s 28 residence halls receive their water supply from the City of Fairborn’s system and are unaffected by the advisory. The university is supplying clean drinking water to the residents of Hamilton Hall, the one hall affected by the advisory, a university spokesperson said.

The water is safe for all purposes other than consumption, a university spokesperson said.

A low water level in the campus’ water tower prompted the advisory, the university said in a phone message to students and faculty.

The advisory is in place until further notice, the alert said.
