Long lines await midnight Xbox game release

DAYTON —

Hundreds of people are lining up in the cold to be one of the first to buy the newest release for the Microsoft Xbox gaming system.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II was set to go on sale at midnight Tuesday.

The game takes players into a 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare, according to the description on marketplace.xbox.com.

Stores in the Dayton area stayed open for the midnight release.

GameStop stores on Linden Avenue and West Dorothy Lane reported having long lines of people at 11 p.m. awaiting to buy the game.
