Man Accused Of Enticing 2 Small Children

CENTERVILLE, Ohio —

Centerville police are investigating after a man who lives on Fireside Drive was accused of enticing two small children on Wednesday.

Officers were called to 6116-A Fireside Drive on the report of possible child enticement. Through an investigation, officers discovered that two children, age 4 and 5, were lured into an apartment thinking they were helping a neighbor find a lost dog.

According to police, the dog was in the apartment when the children entered it. A neighbor observed what happened and contacted the children’s parent who immediately removed the children from the apartment and called police.

The man was identified as 51-year-old Michael Sooy. He was charged with two counts of misdemeanor criminal child enticement and menacing.
