MIDDLETOWN —

Police arrested a Miamisburg man early this morning on aggravated burglary charges.

Just before 4 a.m., police responded to a home invasion in progress at 1632 Lawn Ave. When they arrived, they found a subdued 25-year-old Brandon Baker suffering from a dog bite on the leg.

Police say Baker, wearing a black knit cap and a white bandanna over his face, had forced his way into the home, armed with a medium-sized tree branch and demanded money.

One of the residents of the home recognized Baker’s voice and called out his first name at which time he swung the tree branch at the man. At that time the family dog, a brown terrior-mix, bit Baker in the leg, according to police.

Middletown Municipal Court Judge Mark Wall set Baker’s bond at $25,000 this morning during his arraignment. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 15.

Baker has been found guilty in Middletown Municipal over the past several years on drug-related, disorderly conduct and falsification charges.
