Man Causes High Speed Chase

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ohio —

A wild police chase Monday afternoon went through four counties, which started in Champaign County, and the crash ended when the driver crashed into another vehicle.

Police said the man behind the wheel threatened to kill his girlfriend and her 6-month-old baby.

Matt Clark, 25, was driving a black car at speed in excess of 100 mph, police said.

Police said when Clark came home and realized his girlfriend was gone, he stole her car and started a high speed chase.

Police said Clark slammed into another car and even a police cruiser ran into him. Two people were rushed to the hospital and Clark had minor injuries.

Clark will be face charges of felonious assault, kidnapping and felony fleeing.
