MIAMI TWP., Montgomery County —
A man who was allowing a friend to stay with him in his Dunmore Road apartment was robbed early Friday morning, when the same friend pulled a knife on him and stole several items, according to police.
Police said Craig Bailey allegedly robbed the victim of cash and a cell phone inside the apartment in the 5300 block of Dunmore around 1:15 a.m. Friday. Bailey reportedly ran from the apartment on foot and jumped over a couple of fences, according to Miami Twp. Sgt. Paul Nienhaus.
Officers from multiple jurisdictions were in the area and began searching for Bailey, but so far he has not been located, Nienhaus said. There is the possibilityBailey may have entered a vehicle near the scene, according to Nienhaus.
Bailey was seen wearing a green and white striped shirt and has a criminal history.
The victim of the aggravated robbery did not seek any medical attention, but was shaken because of the events, Nienhaus said.
A K9 was dispatched to the scene, however it was not used because the starting point of a track could not be established.
The case remains under investigation.
