Springfield police are looking for a suspect who shot up a car and shot a man in the leg early Sunday morning on South Ludlow Avenue.
Man shot, car riddled with bullets photo
Police found a car and window damaged by bullets at the Carpenter’s union hall on South Ludlow in Springfield. A shooting victim later showed up at Springfield Regional Medical Center.

SPRINGFIELD —

Police are investigating a shooting which happened early Sunday morning at the Carpenters union hall, 240 South Ludlow Ave. They said a victim was shot in the leg, and later showed up at Springfield Regional Medical Center.

Officers said the shooting happened during a large party at the union hall.

Investigators said the victim was expected to recover.

Police later recovered a car that was believed to be involved in the shooting. A search continues for the shooting suspect.

Officers found a car at the scene which was riddled with bullets. A front window of the building was shot out, and there were numerous casings on the ground.
