Man Sought In Rash Of Burglaries In Moorefield Twp.

MOOREFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio —

Deputies in Clark County are searching for the man behind a string of break-ins in Moorefield Township. They said five homes were targeted overnight.

Investigators said a man broke into one house, stole a car from another and ransacked some vehicles at other homes nearby.

Deputies spent the morning talking to neighbors and dusting for prints in the Terra Cella area of Moorefield Township.

Dwight Coffelt said he forgot and left his garage door open, including leaving the car unlocked. He said he is missing about $60, but Cofflet said his neighbor's truck was stolen.

Sgt. Timothy Pollack said it is important that residents keep their lights on.

One neighbor said he got a decent look at the man who may be committing the crimes. He is described as white, 6 feet tall, seen driving an old model pickup truck.

Investigator said the man was also wearing a handkerchief around his face.
