Man suspected of breaking into gas station arrested

KETTERING —

Kettering police arrested a man suspected of breaking into an area gas station Wednesday morning.

Jeffrey A. Branch, 48, was booked into jail on a charge of breaking and entering, according to reports.

Police responded to the Marathon station at 5501 Bigger Road for a burglary alarm around 6:15 a.m. Officers found the front door glass smashed and and cigarettes removed, according to a release.

Branch was identified through surveillance video, and he was arrested at his Whipp Road apartment without incident, according to the release.

Formal charges are pending.
