MIAMI TWP., Montgomery Co. —

An alert neightbor led police to the arrest of a man early Wednesday, who was wanted on a parole violation from a previous robbery.

Police received a call from a neighbor in the 2200 block of Crew Circle around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on reports that Douglas Jackson, 42, was at a nearby address. Officers made contact with Jackson, but he refused to come out to officers, according to Miami Twp. Police.

Police made contact several times, but had to dispatch a K9 to get the man to surrender. Jackson was taken into custody and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of theft.

Jackson was bit by the K9 and had to be treated for minor injuries.
